I took out Medical Aid and left the company I worked for after 6 months. It was never explained to me that there's such a thing a claw back on savings. And a Discovery Consultant did come and talke about the product, but obviously only the lovely benefits. Surprisingly I received an email from an Attorney saying that I've be handed over and I owe money to Discovery but they could tell me for what. After investigating, phoning all over I discovered it was discovery health. Discovery explained that the email me - never received any emails, they phoned my cell number but it was engaged and never tried again. They then tried a landline number that doesn't exist. They sent post to a PO Box that I no longer use and when I asked why they never sent any correspondence to my home address they didn't even have my home address on their system. Extremely strange because it was filled in on the forms. How slack!!! I've now been handed over and listed on Transunion for something I wasn't even aware of and they not even prepared to make an arrangement with me. They've pushed me from pillar to post, saying I must spend more time making arrangements with the attorneys.
