Everyone at Discovery Health gives different info!

Joined Disc 01/01/2013 with 3 month gwp. Only PMB's covered.8month old very sick. Called auth to query if child could be admitted Advised they need codes to see if it is a PMB nd the HCP nd Hosp had to be on the network. Phoned dr, he is contracted in. Advised Disc agent that dr is contracted in. Agent confirmed that hosp is also contracted in. Went for a consult and paid R600.00.Got codes and auth dept confirmed the codes were PMB.NOW they tell me that hosp is not on network FREAKED! i wouldnt have gone for the consult if i was advised that the hosp was not contracted in. Spoke to Kim in auth and she transferred me to new leads. They advised me that we are on a waiting period coz my husband has a pre-existing condition. Wait. WHAT?!?! how does that make sense? what does his condition have to do with the kids?? Now my child must wait for an auth because the agents are too incompetent to give out correct info. Where is the humane factor in this??? So while you investigate who are not excelling in their work, my CHILD IS STRUGGLING!!! Catch a wake up!! I will not pay a R1950.00 co-pament on the procedure AND 20% of the claim. That is wat I pay R5700.00 a month contribution for!!!
