I understand that the keycare plans are there for the lower class or people that earn below the belt. I rejoined this year expecting Keycare to be the same as before! But was i in for a massive surprise!! My daughter has been ill with the same problem for a few months. I called in to ask why her auth was declined if she really needs to see a Paed and was told if its that if its that urgent i need to go there and pay COD! The new procedure is for the GP to fill in a report to ask for an auth number.! Its been one headache after another with this Keycare! The doctors and hospitals are constantly complaining! A doctor that i spoke to told me that auth was even refused for some one who had a tumar in their breast! Now my question is when is Auth given??? Must the person be on their deathbed?? What are the conditions for this auth to be given?? I dont feel that discovery has the right to investigate whether a person needs to see a specialist or not becuase one doesnt go to specialist unless neccasary! I was refused an auth to see my Gynae as well!! We pay Discovery to be on it and you have no right to decide whether I am ill enough or not! WHO GIVES DISCOVERY THE RIGHT TO PLAY!!!
