In 2008 June i was retranched, and i was covered on the medical aid till end september. in september i called discovery to arrange that i carry on with the payment so that i remain covered. so the first payment that i was suppose to pay was end October. i got sick and i was attmited in Louis Pasture hospital on the 16th or 17th October. dicovery authorized my admission and i was in hospital till 02 November. i was still very sick and when i got well i phoned discovery to arrange for a payment. as i thought they have paid for my medical cost already. only to be contacted by the hospital that discovery did not pay the bill of R92000.00 I phoned and i did not get help and i was told i have to pay the hospital bill. i did not pay the discovery install ment as i was confused and not knowing what to do. i mean i could have paid the R1020 to discovery than to pay R92000.00 or i could have went to publick hospital. why did they authorise and not pay?? please help me with this request as i dont have 92000.00 i am still recovering from the retranchment. but i am willing to do anything to get the matter resolved.
