NO customer service in housekeeping or maintenance

I was looking forward to a weekend at Zimbali's Fairmont Lodge only to find the following, we were booked into a smoking room only to find NO ashtrays, I called reception 3 times and the ashtray finally arrived 45 MINUTES LATER!! From Friday night to Sunday morning there was NO hot water, now I expect a hotel of this calibre to at least supply THAT!! But no such luck... after complaining all day on Saturday (from 8am to 5pm) we kept getting told they would send maintenance, I waited ALL day and NO ONE arrived!! at 5.30 we called for the 5th time only to then be told there was a problem with the boiler, now my point is why would such an expensive hotel NOT have an operational boiler??? we were in a group of 150 people and we all complained but they never ONCE told anyone the truth!! I find this totally shocking and although the waitron staff and the surroundings were fabulous I will NEVER go there again.
