An unfortunate incident happened trying to exit onto the beach. We realized that we had forgotten the arm bands we needed to exit. I approached the guard (Initials - M. A, Name - Aaron) and asked him if we couldn't make a plan. I remembered that previous times a logbook was kept for beach entries. The guard smiled and said yes we can make a plan. When he realized that no bribe was forthcoming he suddenly became insistent again on the armbands. It was at this point that I realized that he was actually expecting a money when I said "can we make a plan". I asked for his name but at first he didn't want to give it to me. I told him I was going to report him. Immediately he got on his radio and contacted to what I can only assume is the security office and from what Zulu I could make out told his version of the story. He also wanted my name and Villa number. This made me a bit unaffordable as he now knew where we lived. I decided not to report this to the security office at the time as not to spoil the holiday even further. I don't mind the armband rule; it protects us all and is a good system. But this kind of bribery totally disgusts me.
