I have recently been in search of an ophthalmologist to do corrective eye surgery for myself. Upon researching I found that Dr. Chris Pearse does a free first consultation to inform an individual whether they are a suitable candidate for the laser procedure and he also holds a competitive price for the actual laser procedure itself. Other practitioners charge between R500-R1200 for assessment consultations.
I booked my first consultation with him where a lady conducted some tests on my eyes and told me Dr Pearse would assess the results and advise me whether I was a suitable candidate or not. Soon after this Dr. Pearse contacted me and informed me in a very professional yet gentle manner it was very risky for me to undertake laser and recommended another practitioner who had dealt with cases like mine before.
Dr. Pearse was very helpful and handed over the results from the free tests done at his practice to pass on to my new practitioner without any hesitation when I had required it. I commend Dr. Pearse for his very humble and helpful nature. It is truly inspiring to know people like him still exist and that people in the medical fraternity are not just self-seeking and greedy
