We made a booking for dinner at Die Stoep Restaurant for 18 June. I received all kinds of emails indicating that the booking has been confirmed. However, when we got to the restaurant, the owner told us that someone phoned them to make a booking for a "colleague" and want to pay R120. We paid our full account and sent the receipt to Get it 247 the following day, after which they promised we will get a refund. After numerous emails and calls, nothing happened. The manager who phoned me everytime, told me that someone from the reservations department will contact me to arrange for refund. I am wondering if I will ever get my money back as it seems that they make empty promises.
