I was a member of Medshield until around Jan or Feb 2011. I made contact with the call centre soon afterward to establish if I overspent on anything and if anything was due by me. I was advised that I owe nothing. A few weeks ago I received notification of an amount outstanding. I have queried this via email. To date, nobody called me, only responses to my email that I have to pay it or this and that will happen. Now, I have requested that you call up a call that I made - probably the last call made to Medshield where I confirmed more than once. This is more than 2 years later, I am not going to pay for it. I expect a call to discuss this. I am also going to establish the process to follow with the Ombudsman as well as the Medical Council of SA. Your call centre said they sent emails to [Email Removed] had they called me they would have known that I left PAG in March 2011.
