We ordered a dragon cake from Explicit SugarFix (Trudie) on the westrand. We even went to see her to discuss the cake. She was excited about the cake order since she told us she loves dragons and was so exited to design this 3D cake. She even offered to include LED lights to make it seems that there is fire coming from the dragons mouth. My little boy was super excited about the cake.
The order was placed Saturday 15 June - to be ready Friday 21 June or delivered early on Saturday 22 June (on his birthday). The party will start at 13h00.
On friday, she stated that she would have the cake ready early saturday afternoon. My wife told her 12pm at the latest as the party was starting at 1pm. At 1pm we had to phone to find out they are halfway with completing the cake!! At 2pm they were apparently 70% finished.
At 3pm they sent a photo of a half decorated cake!! The point at kiddies party is to sing happy birthday with the CAKE there. We then asked for a refund. She said she would bring the money, then said she will EFT, we received the refund on monday. But, we had an upset 7year old with no birthday cake! Yes, we were refunded, but we can never change the party with no cake
