I would just like to say that I was impressed and suprised by the effort that was put in by this lady to resolve an issue that was deeemd unsolvable. Basically as a dependant member of the medical aid I can do nothing without the main members permission and signature. Angie phoned Iraq to get hold of my husband, phoned me back to let me know what was going on and had my entire Vitality sorted out in 4 days... after about 4 call centre people told me the problem was not solvable.
I still think Discovery is missing a trick not allowing spouses to be granted the authority to manage the medical aid in full (everyone else allows this)... and still find it completely disempowering and insulting as a woman to not be treated as an emancipated individual, but... after all that, it was the service, attitiude and commitment of one staff member to do whatever it took to solve the problem with minimal impact that made the differemce.
