Discovery disappoints me after years of loyalty

I am a South African who works abroad on consecutive contracts and come home every year for a couple of months. Due to the nature of my employment (contracts) I deemed it necessary to maintain a decent medical aid in South Africa. Whilst abroad I am covered by my employer for any medical expenses I may incur. A benefit I have always enjoyed during my months spent at home is the Virgin Active gym benefit which was easy to maintain (24 visit per annum requirement) as I do gym regularly. I have now been told that if I do not go to the gym at least 36 times a year I will loose this benefit. I am not contesting the change in policy but I am disappointed that my time out of country are not taken into consideration. I am physically not in the country to go to he gym and are expected to attend as someone that spend the whole year in SA. When abroad I also attend the gym regularly. So despite being a much lower risk to discovery in all ways (less likely to claim when abroad) I am being disadvantaged for working abroad. The product is therefore not designed nor does it cater for people like myself who work away from home. It's rather disappointing that discovery will not accommodate me.
