Resolution Health cancelled my family's cover without notifying us, leaving us without medical aid for 10 months without us even knowing it. This after being a client for 9 years. My salary was paid in a day late and one debit order did not go off, so they cancelled the cover without notifying me or my husband of this. I have sent them my correct contact details and Surname numerous times (still wrong!!) after I married in 2008.
We only discovered this with a great shock after phoning them to let them know that I am pregnant again.
After this and numerous emails to them asking why and ALSO stating that I am pregnant in every email (and having our broker speak to Neels Barendrecht of Resolution in front of both of us telling him about this and my pregnancy), they agreed that they will re-instate our cover in full, also covering the birth of the new baby if we pay all the outstanding premiums up until now of almost R20 000.
So we did the payment and signed the affidavit THEY sent us, and so we received a letter confirming the full re-reinstatement.
Suddenly a day later they phoned us and said that our cover have been cancelled because I did not let them know that I was pregnant.
