I purchased a Samsung SCX-3200 printer because it had three important functions that I needed for my studies, Scan (Main function required), Copy and Print.
It is a good printer and I'm on my second cartridge BUT...
I wanted to scan a very important document and suddenly a memory error kept popping up preventing me from saving the document. After trying it on THREE Pc's, I realized I had a problem with the printer even though it is working fine.
On 22 March 2013, at about 13:00, I phoned the customer care line 0860 ___ and spoke to Khumalo. (Ref. 7111971242) I was informed that I must take this printer to a service center to reset the memory. This is inconvenient for me. Normally this is done by just unplugging a printer for a few minutes etc., but not on this machine. The best part of the problem is that I'm going to get charged for a simple procedure whilst my printer is still working.
Nobody could tell me WHY they have built this into the machine's software and I can not see any reason for this. As far as I'm concerned, it's built in just to milk the customers. A small addition to the printer's software could have allowed the user to reset the memory if required.
