So im looking at an advertisment of apple products in the Deon Wired magazine that was delivered with the beeld of 29 jan 2014 and there i see it. Apple All in one computers.
There is a lovely apple (Desktop derivative, I.E Not a notebook) for only R23 500, It has an stunning intel I5 processor, a 1 GB of DDR6 ram GTX770M gfx card and a 1 TB hard drive. Additionally there is 8 GB of Ram and a 27inch 2450x 1440 screen. This all for the rediculously low price of R23 500.
But the sumthing kicked in...
I realised that my home desktop computer has an I5 inter cpu, 2 GB Nvidia Desktop GFX card (so much better than the apple (mainly due to the fact that the M in the 770 is reserved for laptops, and my gfx card is a desktop one with twice the amount of memory), also 8 GB or ram a slightly smaller screen and an SSD, which makes it much much faster than this apple beast. All for the low price of less than R10 k, Now how is this possible?
Does white paint and an apple badge cost an additional R13 000? I can only wonder. But then again it could be that apple sells this beast for R10k and Deon wired just marked it up to R23k.
