Liquid Damage for a waterproof cell phone

I purchased My SONY Xperia Z1 phone on the 2nd december 13.A month later I made contact with my supplier Nashua Mobile advising them that the cellphone was faulty and that it keeps switching off. They confirmed to take responsiblity for the phone by taking in the cellphone for repairs and that I wiil recieve it within a month. On the 24.01.2014 i made contact with Nashua Mobile and was advised that they have recieved my cellphone and they confirmed that the phone was liquid damaged. I then asked what I should do in this regard and was advised that it is not there problem as the phone is not under gaurentee and it will not be replaced. I then requested to speak to higher authority as I was unhappy that I only had the cellphone for a month and i was believed through advertising that the cellphone was suppose to be waterproof. I spoke to the Head office of nausha mobile and was then forwarded to SONY.After consulting with SONY they advised me that i need to take to cellphone to a private supplier called SSS Cellular to have it checked. I made contact with them and they want to charge me for courier service and for fixing the damages. Im unhappy about this issue i just want my phone in order.
