My husband wanted to purchase an iPad for myself for Christmas and went into the Clearwater branch on 20 December 2013. He gave all the necessary documentation. This was the start of our nightmare. The gentleman who was a representative for MTN messed up the entire process by failing to check that all details were captured correctly and so my husband's salary was entered incorrectly. MTN then declined the entire application without notifying my husband. My husband continued to go into the store to query the progress when he was PROMISED a PHONE CALL to tell him when it will be ready. The staff were unhelpful in trying to assist my husband. He went in again on the 23rd December 2013 and the staff were not interested to help him whatsoever. My husband then proceeded to sign up with Vodacom instead, a hassle free procedure - or so we thought. The SIM card was not available at the time of purchase so my husband had to give me my gift without the SIM. When we eventually got the SIM card, the service refused to work. The consultant said that the iPad needed to be switched off - still nothing. Eventually we sorted this out, but we are thinking twice before purchasing APPLE again!!!
