I have a faulty external Samsung G3 station hard drive, and have been sitting with this problem for more then a year. Drive was purchased at store, which offers a year guarantee, and I still had the supplier warranty remaining, which expires in Nov 2013.
Tried returning the drive or have it looked at a year ago, with no such luck, and giving it a go again, before the warranty expires.
I have been given the run around since day one, contacted re-sellers, no such luck, as Samsung warranty covered by Seagate, contacted them, after i got the number from Samsung call centre, they cannot assist me, should try a re-seller, no such luck. Some say because i didn't purchase product from them, they cannot or wouldn't assist.
I am currently extremely frustrated, as i am currently sitting with an expensive door-stopper, as i can detect the drive, but cannot really use it, as data gets corrupted, checked the drive with Seatools as well, comes up as faulty.
And as i am having problems now returning a drive, I am a bit worried, as I have another Samsung drive, which means i could end up going through the same run around experience.
Extremely Frustrated
