I bought a Bernina Artista 630 sewing machine just over a year ago to replace a Bernina that gave me nothing but excellent service. At that time also invested in a walking foot for the machine. I'm busy finishing my Master's degree and therefor did not have much time for sewing. To my surprise the walking foot had rusted when I wanted to use it. None of the other attachments that were kept in the same cupboard under the same conditions suffered the same fate. The people at the Bernina branch in Moreleta Park were very friendly and helpful and promised to contact the head office ASAP. Up to this stage I have no complaints and want to stress that my problem does not with the people I bought my machine from. It is the response from Bernina head office that forces me to write this complaint. The response from head office was that the rust wasn't their problem and don't we have a dog that urinated on it! For goodness sake, we don't have a dog in the first place and if we had, how would it be able to get into a cupboard and then pee on just one of the about eight attachments we got with the machine? I feel insulted by their reply. This is not the way one treats loyal customers.
