I bought an Apple USB ethernet adapter (R369 - very expensive I my add) 8 months ago. The adapter recently stopped sensing the network cable. I took it to the iStore in Sandton city and was told I need to book it in for a service but it should be replaced under warranty. A few days later I get a quote for repair of R447.68! Firstly, the quote to fix the old adapter is more than buying new one. Secondly, the warranty of the product should be honoured and I'm pretty sure this is in breach of the consumer protection act.
