My husband registered with an institution called RAU institute of Technology for N4 electronics. He had to pay a deposit of R2500 on the 25th of January 2013, however the total yearly tuition was R20, 000. The studies were said to resume on the 2rd of February but the lecturers did not pitch up except for one. The same lecturer had to conduct lectures for various subjects which he is not competent to teach. I was again told that there was going to be original text book issued, but instead we were presented with copies of the study guides. The study guides were also written untidily all over, which to me show unprofessionalism. There was an error on the student card, instead of showing Electronics Engineering it shows Electrical Engineering. According to the starting time set for the courses was 07:45 but the college only opened at 08:15. I became very disappointed and unhappy about all the above mention hiccups and decided to call the college for cancellation. When I called the college to cancel a week later (04 February 2013) the admin assistant did not seem to understand.
