My daughter is enrolled at the above institution studying LLB. They are not accredited, so the exams are written through Unisa. They provide the lectures. They do not even have a lecturer for one of her subjects - EUP1501 yet she is expected to write the UNISA exam for it. I paid them in excess of R50K and I had to pay another R20K at UNISA and for books. Their lecturers cancel at short notice and never make up for the lost time. Another of her subjects has not even scheduled for classes to begin and we are almost at the end of the first month of the semester. The lectures which do take place leave a lot to be desired. They actually teach the lesson after an assignment is due to UNISA. I have requested numerous meetings via email to discuss this and have not received any response. Their telephone just rings all the time and you cannot get through to anybody. I will not be sending my daughter to them next year. She will study through UNISA as MGI is not an institution that cares about their students - they are just a ripoff out to make money.
