Recently i completed my required 40 modules in order to obtain my LLB degree. I registered this semester for 4 NDP modules. On the 3rd of April i received an email from [email protected] stating that i need to submit my AS level certificate and O-level certificate for matriculation exemption and pay R400.00?? That was done when i registered in 2009 at the Benoni campus. I phoned the number provided on UNISA's website 012 441 5457 numerous times but the number seems to not be working. (as do 90% of the numbers given online) I eventually phoned the Law department and was assisted by a very nice man who told me that it is either because i never met the criteria to study law (then how was I admitted) or (after looking at my matric certificate) because i am a foreigner. which i am not, my qualification is foreign but i am South African. He then transferred me to the matriculation exemption dept, i waited 25 min without an answer. I have sent an email regarding this to the email address. However i am greatly stressed (to the point where i am physically ill) as i have worked hard for 4 years and now it seems as if UNISA wish to deny me my degree and i cannot contact anyone to assist me.
