Payments made but not noted

I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Wits university fees department. I have received statements regarding my outstanding fees. I called the fees department last year March to make arrangements for payment. The arrangements were that I would pay R300 every month towards paying off my Wits fees But since then I have not received any statements. The last statement I received was on the 19/11/2012 stating that I still owe R19 376.54. I've called the fees department numerous times regarding the outstanding amount because to their knowledge I've only paid R300 thus far. I find this strange since I have paid R300 every month since last year March when I started working (via direct deposit). Every time I call no one can advise where the amount of money I've paid has gone as well as why I've been paying interest changes when I've made arrangements for payment. I would like this matter resolved immediately!!!
