At the end of 2013 I wished to register for my Post Grad studies at Unisa. At the time I was in Durban so I went to the regional office in Stanger St. I figured that it being a "Regional Office" that my registration would be handled swiftly. This was not the case. I had to visit the office 4 times in one month. Each time I went there I had to wait literally more than 3 hours in queues. The staff there are unhelpful and clueless. At the end of 2013, I was still unsure whether I was registered or not - they kept telling me that my application has yet to be processed.
Come the start of 2014, I relocated to Middelburg. Here I went to Unisa office to query my registration. A wonderful lady by the name of Edith assisted me. Within a minute she understood my problem and escalated the matter by sending an email to the relevant personnel. Before I left, she said that I should come back the next day to verify that it was processed. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and promptness, which was diametrically opposite to the staff at the Durban branch. What's more, that same day while I was at home I received a call from Edith telling me that all is sorted out. Customer Service Perfection!
