I went for the Netcare assessment and took my Intec certificate which is equivalent to matric. The woman at the assessment venue told me that it will be sufficient. A few weeks later I then received an sms from OLG stating that I have been successful in the selection process for the NEDP course and asking me to pay programme fees of R9950. I paid it a few days later and sent in my application form. A few weeks later I received an sms saying that I have been accepted for the October 2013 intake. A few days ago I receive another sms saying that I have been taken for the October 2013 intake and OLG will be in contact with me regarding the induction date. Then today I learn that they are not going to accept my diploma as equivalent to matric even though it is an nqf level 5, so I can't do the course even though I was told that I have been accepted. I am 30 and never had a problem with my certificates before. I run my own company and have started turning clients away due to me pursuing a nursing career. I have therefore lost a lot of money. I think it is unacceptable to be told that you have been accepted only to be told later "OOPS SORRY, WE MADE A MISTAKE"
