My son was offered a conditiional placement for engineering mid 2013. He accepted the offer and this was communicated to Suri Kumari. In November we received comm saying as soon as the matric results are released he would get confirmation of his placement. That didnt happen according to the SEC they don't get IEB results we were meant to post it!! I phoned a dozen times since the 2/1/14 to ask whats going on, no one said anything about posting or faxing the results. When i called they said to go and pay the registration fees which I did on the 7th. On the 15th when he went to register he was told he is not on the system. They took a copy of his results and was told to check in the next day or two for feedback. I called I was told to fax the results then today was told to post it!!! in the meantime we have lost opportunities at UJ and Pretoria because he accepted the offer at Wits. I have left messages for Suri, and now sent an email to Ziyanda. I will not accept that he has lost his place due to incompetent admin services. I will not rest until this is resolved.
Wits stated their intention we accepted, he has performed well and produced the results, we have paid now nobody can help!
