I am in awe how the Dean of Students position is ceremonial, in that I have on numerous occasion asked for assistance with regards to advice and assistance from the Dean. Not once have I gotten feedback but sms' wishing us the best for the exam. Personally I would rather not get the sms' but assistance as it createds the impression that we could be assisted whereas the opposite applies.
I have waited for months on end have an email to back up my grievance. Being a contractor with UNISA one would atleast expect some feedback. It conerns me what the external students go through should their require assistance from his office.
