In March 2013, Varsity college hosted their annual Mr and miss varsity college pageant. As a student there i entered with the hopes of winning not only the title but the awesome prizes. These prizes were announced on the night and prior to the event : 1) A half a year bursary, 2) a one year free gym contract with virgin Active, 3) R2000 cash, 4) a free photo shoot done by a student at varsity college midrand and lastly 5) ten barnyard tickets to attend any show at the selected barnyard.
To this day i have received R2000 cash, an email stating the free photoshoot, and an incorrect email for the barnyard tickets stating the date of issue as at the 28 June 2012 and it's validity for 6 months.
I then had to fight and beg for my half a year bursary letter which has an amount of R2000 stated on it. Which is incorrect it is not half a year, and when i went to virgin active to sign my 1 year gym contract they told me that it was never approved! After nagging varsity today i received a voucher for 1 month free gym and got told there's nothing they can do- waiting for proof in writing from varsity on their prizes as they claim to have emails proving the facts- once again i have to beg!!
