In Jan 2011 I accepted a quote from PRS Granite Klerksdorp for the installation of St Claire/Caramel Quartz Stone tops to my Kitchen & Vanities.
Before taking occupation marks could be seen on the kitchen surfaces and within 6 weeks of occupation, I noticed that the Quartz stone was not stain resistant & that fluid marks of what-ever nature were visible on the surfaces. This was irrespective if they were dried up immediately or not.
Various telephone calls were made to Mr du Plessis @ PRS advising him of the problem & requesting him to personally visit & inspect the surfaces. At no stage was I advised that the absorption capacity of the product selected was 10 to 15 times less than any other stone. He has simply sent his workman twice to polish my tops in an attempt to remove the stains/marks which has not helped or solved the problem. The result is that I am left now with kitchen surfaces which appear dull, scratched and old looking.
Mr. du Plessis eventually came to inspect the surfaces & supplied me with a letter from Stone Connection stating that they had no prior problem with the product. Further correspondence to both PRS Granite and Stone Connection has gone unanswered!!
