STONE CONNECTION RESPONSE TO PRODUCT COMPLAINT

In Jan 2011 PRS Granite Klerksdorp installed St Claire/Caramel Quartz Stone supplied by STONE CONNECTION to the tops of my Kitchen cupboards & Vanities.
Before taking occupation marks could be seen on the kitchen surfaces and within the first 6 weeks of occupation, I noticed that the Quartz stone was not stain resistant & that fluid marks of what-ever nature, were visible on the surface areas. This was irrespective if they were dried up immediately or not.

Various telephone calls were made to PRS advising them of the problem & requesting that the surfaces be inspected by Mr du Plessis. At no stage was I advised that the absorption capacity of the product selected was 10 to 15 times less than any other stone. Polishing of the tops by PRS in an attempt to remove the stains/marks has not helped or solved the problem, and the result is that I am left now with kitchen surfaces which appear dull, scratched and old looking.

Mr. du Plessis supplied me with the letter from Stone Connection stating that they have had no prior problem with the product and that the only possibility could be that water with a higher carbonate content could leave light calcareous carbonate mark
