Guaranteed Flooring - appalling attitude/service

I contracted Guaranteed Flooring to repair and sand/reseal my wooden flooring. I paid a deposit equal to roughly 50% of the invoice before work commenced. Faizil, the owner/manager, then asked for a direct payment for the new materials and a further deposit - I paid this 3 working days after he requested it, yet he refused to come back to the site until the deposit cleared - his excuse was he needed to get the materials and he had been let down in the past by customers. I explained that I had paid him and he should continue, which he did but only a week later. He then demanded payment of nearly all of the outstanding invoice before sanding and sealing which I thought was a bit extreme considering that was a core part of the job, nonetheless paid him. He then did not pitch for work yet again, claiming that he had not received payment - when I challenged him, he threw his toys out the cot and refused to do the rest of the work - I am still waiting for a refund of the final payment. The work done to date is fine, and his workers were on site and seemed to know what they were doing, but Faizil is an extremely unpleasant character with a bad attitude - be warned.
