I was referred to this gentleman by a colleague.
I contacted Chris with regards to replacing flooring in a property we were working on.
Firstly, he wanted 75% deposit which was strange.. After he would not accept 50% as per usual, I paid the deposit and then the 100% full amount after some complaints from him.
He then, after I had paid the full amount for the work, complained to me that he had to drive to another supplier to get the flooring, which we found out later had been discontinued.
After letting us down, we had to have a showday with a property that had NO FLOORS, what so ever.
After this we decided to contact the gentleman who referred him to us, he came to finish the job, which we had to pay him again for that work.
So Chris was paid in full, bought old, discontinued flooring, didn't finish the job, and left with keys to the property.
Then, after he had disappeared, we did a search on his company registration number on his invoice, which was connected to another company.
To this day, we have had to get lawyers involved and have had to file a criminal police report against him.
