Nortje Marble and Granite (NM&G) quoted 12 Oct 2012 for installation of granite kitchen tops. The quote was accepted and NM&G demanded 75% deposit to secure hand picked granite slab. NM&G undertook to install the tops by 15 December 2012 and R7 561.62 deposit was paid on 21 November 2013.
NM&G failed to date to do the installation and to date did not respond to a letter of demand dated 1 February 2013.
My son did bussiness 15 months before with NM&G and was reasonably satisfied with their service.
He also again obtained quotes for the installation of a granite top at more or less the same time last year, also paid his deposit to NM&G and finds himself in the same situation as us where he paid his deposit and have since not been able to get NM&G to honour the agreement and complete the installation of their granite top.
At the moment therefor I am aware of two instances where NM&G have taken customer deposits but fail to honour their agreement to install granite tops.
Service providers, material suppliers as well as the general public should, in my opinion, be warned against Colleen Nortje who seems to collect customer's deposits to dissapear without delivering.
