I need help asking the HOA of our complex to approve we higher our wall by 1 slab because our dog jumped the wall and a neighbours dog keeps jumping their wall and going for our dogs. We've just moved and since then we've made temporary arrangements to keep her inside but the HOA is complaining about it. we've requested 3 times in writing to the HOA that we get permission to raise our wall by 1 slab and they keep declining it saying that the 6th slab is in the ground. our dog is steralised and she has a collar and tag on, she's very friendly but bad things can happen. Someone can her, she can get lost, she can get knocked over by a car because we stay on the road, she can scare a child whose scared of dogs, she's cat friendly but will chase because she wants to play and that will look like an attack to the person that doesn't know this. We also put up a driveway gate so they have more space to run and play and it's also for our own security but the HOA is also wanting us to take that down, even after 2 written letters requesting we keep it up. The garden otherwise would be too small and we feel that's cruel. they declined the gate because we never first asked for permission
