Revamp-It Wall and Roof Coatings painted my roof at a cost of R10000 in July 2011. I received a 10-YEAR GAURANTEE. Within 6 MONTHS the paint started to PEEL and the old colour started to show through the new paint. In October last year I launched an official complaint assuming that the gaurantee would fall into place. Revamp-It first forced me to pay more than R500 as a non-refundable "INSPECTION FEE" in addition to a tedious complaint process. It became clear to me then that Revamp-It would find an excuse not honour the gaurantee. After paying the money and completing the relevant documents it took them THREE MONTHS before they sent out a technician TWO WEEKS AGO. Their technician told me it looked as if my roof was last painted 10 YEARS AGO. But last week Revamp-It management turned down my complaint saying the guarantee does not cover fungus and hail damage. The message was conveyed to me on an email signed by "PRODUCTION". There was no verbal response at all. No phone call from anyone at Revamp-It. An INDEPENDENT EXPERT from Barney's Paints Blackheath cited POOR WORKMANSHIP on inspection of my roof!
