Response from burrows pools
We would like to take this opportunity to respond to this allegation on this forum, as this site does not have any facility for right of reply, nor do they appear to inform companies of complaints lodged against them. What Francois unfortunately omits from his account is that after his initial contact, we actually met them on site and inspected the pool. The lining had indeed pulled away from under the coping in a section. What he also fails to mention is that we informed them that this was due to the fact that they had done paving around the pool with no expansion joint which was the cause of the problem, thus excluding this from being a guarantee claim. Notwithstanding this, we informed them that we would repair it for them as an act of goodwill as it was a relatively minor job. There was a delay in production during which time his wife called Andy, indeed apparently using a friends cellphone for some apparent reason. She demanded that we be there the next morning to repair the pool and when informed that this was not possible, proceeded to swear at and verbally abuse him in a manner that would warrant a crimen injuria charge being laid had the call been recorded. We don't know if Francois is aware of this. As a direct result of her unacceptable and disgusting behaviour, we decided not to extend the courtesy of repairing the pool as an act of goodwill. We appeal to this site to notify companies of allegations submitted involving them and create a forum for right of reply.
