Yesterday (Sunday Morning) I was quoted to purchase a sheet of wood, which I did not require entire sheet. In fact less then 50 %.. Ideally I wanted offcuts but no staff were interested in assisting due to poor attitude to clients.
I had been sent up and down between wood shop and tills due to no communication between the 2 departments, yet they send customer up and down. At this stage I could still accept the poor service but once I had wasted almost an entire hour, the staff member came to me with a separate bill after I had paid, advising I need to pay for edging. When quoting by builders, the staff member advised this is inclusive of the price for wood along with cutting. This now did not fit into my budget and I requested to speak to manger as builders needs to honour price quoted as in any business. Manger refused to assist me after staff member acknowledged he was at fault. How builders allocate a manager who can resolve a customs issue? secondly I requested refund for all items as I could not make use of them without the wood and this was another issue, they had to re reimburse me in 2 payments??? POOR POOR POOR EFFORT! I want explanations from higher management.
