My Father passed away 9 dec 2013, he had an account with the local Builders Trade Depot.
We recieved several statements reflecting an outstanding balance so we paid in full as per statement and asked that the account be closed.
Next statement we received showed a credit of over R1000 due to us so we asked the local branch in hermanus to refund the balance to my mothers' account.
After several trips into the branch they finally agreed we had given them all the necessary paperwork to process the refund.
3 Weeks later we are still waiting, countless phone calls, even resorted to begging but to no avail.
Staff give the usual, I'll phone you back and generally blame another department, in this case Head Office for not processing the refund, of course there is no contact number for head office accounts department to be found and when I phoned their customer service hotline I also got the I'll phone you back which I'm still waiting for since yesterday.
It would appear that service is just about non existant when dealing with refunds, I suppose the longer they keep your money the more interest they get.
