In February 2013 I contracted with Tjaart to replace on the ceiling where the walls were removed, to in the kitchen ceiling and the front and stair ways ceiling. The last two areas were water damaged, so I told him we will have to wait until I got the roof repair guys otherwise is serves no purpose.
He quoted me R8500 to close the ceilings, but told me later it does not include painting, which I was fine with. They also used my ceiling boards and gave me credit of R770 for that. I Still paid R6260. Tjaart said they could not finish the job, but he will do so when he comes back for the stairway ceiling. So no cornices were done on the areas they did d work on.
The roof was repaired in May 2013. I emailed T&M in September and informed them we will have to wait until it rains again rather to make sure the roof areas were properly sealed.
I called them to finish the job, and they provided me with a new quote of R3500 additional. This was not the agreement and if they sent me a quote of R12 000 from the beginning, I definitely would not have chosen them.
STAY AWAY FROM these guys and they will cheat and add on as they progress.
