In February 2013 Graham Swallow was commissioned to build our staircase and mezzanine flooring. He was affable and professional at the start when vying for the business. However once he'd received the deposit (to "ensure that we got the wood at a good price"), the service levels all but evaporated. He never returned phone calls, he is a compulsive who's phone, PC and/ or car is either constantly "broken" or he's "sick" or his staff are at funerals.
He promises to arrive on an allotted day and time and does not even have the decency or integrity to call so that he can make his next ridiculous excuse with a straight face. Two weeks after installation, the floor in the bedroom had lifted and we had to plead for weeks to get that fixed. There are now pockmarks of wooden plugs in different colors all over the place. The planks in some places have now started separating at the join leaving a 2mm gap through which water is now able to seep, and this is the repair that this man is yet to do!
We unfortunately paid this unscrupulous man all the money for the contract thus we have no leverage over him anymore.
All we want is for the defects to be rectified following shoddy workmanship
