We bought a Suncommand 750 Pool Pump on 10.03.2013. The pump didn't provide sufficient flow. It started to make a 'whining' noise that became worse. Builders Roodepoort, rudely informed me that its not Builders problem & I must contact the supplier myself. I bought this pump from Builders & the fact that it was still under guarantee (7mths old), I was expecting Builders to assist me. This pump clearly has a manufacturing fault and/or is a below standard & can't handle the capacity advertised. WE DIDN'T WANT A REPAIR BUT A REFUND. 13 Oct '13 we took the pump to Builders Roodepoort. We were informed that WE must phone the supplier. Builders don't take any liability. Manager, Bokang Lesejane took over the matter. He said that it is our problem not theirs. After bringing under his attention that we did buy the pump from them & that we will not be inconvenienced due to their lack of service, he admitted that Builders had a lot of comebacks on these pumps & due to them not getting their credits from the manufacturer of the Suncommand pumps (Waterlinx), they no longer refund clients. If Builders is aware of the problems with the pump/suppliers why are these pumps still on the shelves?
