In June / July 2012, we painted our house using paint and primer purchased from builders warehouse. Within 2 -3 months, the paint started peeling off the wall. Upon complaint to Builders Warehouse Fourways branch, where the paint was purchased, various consultants were sent to the property to conduct tests on the walls etc. Following these, we were lead to believe that Builders Warehouse would pay for the removal of the existing primer/paint, and for the repainting of the walls. We have followed up on numerous occassions with Builders Warehouse Fourways to get the work started but without success. The latest story is that the case has been sent to head office for assessment. It is unacceptable that this matter is not being finalised, after having advised Builders of the problem some 7 months ago. Furthermore, following recent building activity, we have spent hundreds of thousands of rands at builders, and have been loyal customers.
