Christoff Wipplinger defrauds Client
Christoff Wipplinger, the Johannesburg architect, was hired to design a 60-unit apartment block in Cape Town's city centre. At a certain point I showed the plans to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) and engaged him as part of the Management Team for the Project. He invoiced me for R125, 000 and received payment. The problem is that several top architects in Cape Town reviewed the Plans and concluded that they could not be built in the real world. In essence, my Company paid R125, 000 for some pretty pictures that are otherwise worthless. We lost this money. We had to start over from scratch. We had already begun creating a website. This cost us months in wasted time. I feel. So unethical. And an architectural practice known as A3 Architects appears on my Plans and they assume no responsibility for what has happened.
