We thought we would install a new fire place into a home we have recently renovated.
After shopping around what fireplaces were available we decided on LavaFires Cape Town. We decided on the Edward fireplace which cost R12 000. We were then told we would have to use an outside company to install which they thoroughly recommended one.
Not only were we given incorrect parts from Lavafires day of the installation, we literally did all the running around for both Lavafire and the installer.
We paid a total of R16 000 for a leaky fireplace, pipes that are incorrect in colour and do not match. Not to mention the outside pipes we were given look absolutely hideous and inferior to other brands out there. The service and customer follow up has been unprofessional and humiliating. With of phone calls to be returned and the matters to be taken care of. Once these guys get your money dont expect them to rush back. I wait to see if this matter will be resolved. Our hard earned cash wasted on quick money making inferior product and service. A cheaper brand and unemployed street person could have done a better job.
