My son received a terrace braai as a present recently but found it to be faulty to such extend that it cannot be used at all.
He took it back to Builders Warehouse Rivonia where it was purchased and despite showing them the fault and the scanned copy of the invoice they declined to replace it with a similar model. Three different employees of Rivonia Builders Warehouse stated that they cannot replace it as they need the original invoice. The person who purchased it and who is in possession of the original invoice is not in the RSA and scanned and send the invoice above. My son told them that he received it as a present and the reason why he is in possession of only the scanned copy of the relevant invoice. Surely they can compare their own records with the scanned invoice above in order to assist a client to replace a faulty item.
