I want to warn everybody against Anton Berg, company Pool Builder. He quote incorrectly and requested additional money twice and he the glass cover of my swimming pool light.
I am renovating my house and when I got a quote from a representative of Wondercoat Roof and Wall Coatings, I asked him if he could recommend someone for my pool. It needed to be repainted and waterproofed. Anton Berg phoned me the next day. Anton arrived late the afternoon with his "father" Norman, and quoted R7500 for the work. He hand delivered the quote the next afternoon (8 May 2013). I had to pay 50% on acceptance and 50% on completion. He inspected the pool again and said that he did not see all the cracks the previous night and if I could add R600 to the original 50% acceptance fee. He arrived the next day (9 May 2013) and the pool was completed the same day. He then claimed that the pool was bigger than what "Norman" thought and he had to use more cement. He needed R650 more i.e. R4400. I was na? ve to pay this extra money also. He wanted to fix my swimming pool light. I stated that it was not necessary. He promised to fix it for free and left with the glass cover, never to return.
