I have always bought DELL for their warranty and did not mind paying in the extra to have the security of the warranty.
In the last 2 months I have had a faulty charger and a power button that does not work. Both timed a called DELL and they basically accused me of dropping the computer and handling the power cable roughly.
The laptop sits on my desk all day and the fact that with no information on who I am or even a picture of the damage they have the tenacity to accuse me of all these things. The operator and the manager were rude and would not even listen to reason.
My last words were "So with no pictures or information on where the laptops sits while I work you are 100% fine with accusing me of dropping my laptop and mishandling the power cable. Even though there is a link on YouTube showing why the design of the laptop is wrong and you must move the power button on your DELL"
Their response was "yes"
I have supported DELL for many years and now reading similar complaints on this website I am really ashamed at their customer service.
Please don't reply to this DELL, I really just wanted to vent my regret. Time to move on.
