I so wish I had googled Hello Peter and Matrix computers before I went in to purchase a laptop from them. When I read all the bad experiences people have had with them, I would never have even walked into the shop. It has been a debacle from start to finish and I find myself a good R11k in the red and no working computer. My PA needed a laptop (an Acer) which I purchased from matrix- somehow she managed to crack the screen but the computer still worked fine. Then the computer wouldn't switch on or off- we sent it back for repairs and had to pay R1200 for it to be fixed- this was about 6 months into the warranty- then we had the computer back for less than 2 weeks and it wouldn't switch on or off again-sent it back to matrix- after numerous phone calls over weeks and ZERO feedback or response from Matrix, I eventually got hold of the George branch manager who told me that it was not worth fixing the computer as the motherboard needed replacing as the computer had had liquid spilt on it.!! This was definitely NOT the case, but how do we consumers who are not computer boffins have a leg to stand on when the supplier is clearly not interested in providing any support... be warned!!
