We pay almost R20 000 in licensing and support fees annually. For this we are promised, " As the leader in accounting, ERP and business management software, Sage Pastel has a contact centre that is committed and focused on providing you with all the support you need ". This is an empty promise as we have had a hard time trying to even get hold of anyone in support. They will first tell you that your support license has expired, then the machine will patch you through to sales, who will in turn patch u to support... back to sales... and guess what..you are right back where you started from. You are now in a loop and will stay there until you decide to hang up. I pointed this out to them and as usual they are still busy sorting out the problem for the last couple of months. In the meantime i been have holding on for up to 30mins at a time before giving up. Is this worth paying R20 000 for, let alone the thousands you invested in the software. Even the upgrade to pastel 12 - a disk was provided with almost no instruction on how to do the upgrade... We had 12 workstations and it was a nightmare doing the upgrade initially until i managed to get help. Poor service and nobody listens.
